In Memory

George Baxter

George Baxter

George Merton Baxter, Jr., December 1,1946 - August 28, 2009, passed away at the age of 63 as the result of a gran mal seizure.

George obtained his BS in History from Chapman University, worked at Disneyland for 25 years, owned and worked with birds for over 10 years and was an avid gun collector like his Dad. After retiring from Disneyland, George lived in Long Beach, CA and then relocated to Kingman, AZ in 2006. After moving to Kingman, George joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. George was caring and was always ready to extend a helping hand. George dearly loved his dogs Sebastian & Penny, and would frequently return to California to visit family and assist with taking care of the family horses. George was a loving son, cousin and brother. George was an amazing soul and is greatly missed.

Wow.   If I remember correctly, George was kind of quiet yet he was always nice.    I'm sorry to hear he's gone, but believe he's in a better place.

I remember George as well, had a few classes with him over the years at SGHS, was a quiet and sincere person, and i enjoyed talking with him when the opportunity presented itself.   Too bad we don't seem to hear about these passings for what appears to be years after the fact.  It would have been great to see him again at the reunion.  Tom & Sharon Cepek

George was a quiet guy. I didn't recognize his name, but when I saw his picture, I remembered him immediately. Sorry to hear he is no longer with us, but I agree with Carol - he's in a much better place now.
