Leonard Hauser

We lost Leonard in 2013.  He died from cancer and was residing in Tucson, Arizona.  He will be missed at the reunion.  Another classmate gone too soon.

 

Leonard E. “Leo” Hauser, 66, of Wapakoneta, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville after battling cancer.


He was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Los Angeles, to Merle V. (Kelly) and Byron A. Hauser, who preceded him in death.


Surviving are two daughters, Ellen (Michael) Engle, of Wapakoneta, and Elaine (Amy) Hauser, of Columbus; a son, Byron A. Hauser, of Columbus; three grandchildren, Justin, Erin, and Lillian; and two brothers, Clifford (Christine) Hauser, of Tucson, Ariz., and Wayne (Roxanne) Hauser, of Oregon.


Leonard was an industrial engineer for 40 years for McDonnell-Douglas, Rockwell, and the Lima Tank Plant. After retiring he bartended part time. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose, V.F.W., American Legion, Elks, and AmVets. He enjoyed golfing and meeting people and was always very sociable.

Ron Clonts

When Leonard and I were in elementary school, we were in the same Cub Scout troop. His mother was the den mom.
