Vicki called me one night and we reminisced for over an hour. She told me about the seven years she spent in Boston, moving back to the west coast, living in Oregon, and teaching at the college level. At the end of the conversation she said "Hey, how do I get to your house?" I gave her directions and just before we hung up she said "See ya soon, friend". I believe she may have been on her way to SoCal when she had the accident. I didn't get word for quite awhile, but when I found out she was gone I felt terrible. Vicki and I grew up together. Our Mothers were good friends and when I was five years old or so, scared me silly because she was a girl and when we got within range of each other she'd follow me EVERYWHERE. One of my first friends, and I'd give a lot to turn around and see her standing behind me, smiling.
Vicki was in Job's Daughters. She was always a lot of fun and had a great sense of humor. Her parents and mine were good friends and met through Job's Daughters. I guess God decided he needed to have his day brightened and called Vicki home. We miss her here and will always remember her.
Vicki and went through school together since kindergarten. She was quite a character! She was so sweet and helpful. I wish I could talk her one more time! Tim
