Susan Aaron Rise

Susan Aaron Rise

Mary Cay Allen Russell reported having learned of the passing of classmate Susan K "Rise" Aaron.

I just heard of the passing of Susan Rise Aaron from her husband, Dean, this past month. Susan was my best friend in high school and we remained in contact throughout the years. It was so great to see her at the 50th reunion along with our third "partner in crime", Cathy Lewis. I couldn't have been more blessed with such special friends. RIP dear Susan.

God saw you getting weary.
He did what He thought best.
He put His arms around you
and said, Come and rest.
He opened up His golden gates
on that heartbreaking day,
and with His arms around you,
you gently slipped away.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
A part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

It saddens me to learn of the passing of Susan Rise.  I am happy she was able to join us only one year ago on November 8th at our 50 year class reunion. I know Susan fought hard.  She now can rest in peace.  Another classmate gone too soon.

Thank you, Martha, for your kind words and for all the work you do for our class.

Wow - I had no idea Susan was gone, and it sounds like it wasn't too long ago.    Would you believe I just sent her an email last week?     Her birthday is two days after mine, and I used to "celebrate" her birthday because it seemed to make make last longer.     My deepest sympathy to her husband and family.

Sincerely,

Carol Cole, Psy.D.
